WE WANT TO PRAY FOR YOU! Beginning Sunday, October 17, Beechland will have prayer counselors available to pray for you AFTER the Worship service. We, as a church family, have been helping her family and would like to adopt her family for Christmas and help provide gifts. Kathy has wish lists for each of the 6 children. If a Sunday School class or other group would like to adopt a child, or an individual would like to make a donation toward their Christmas, please contact Kathy Darby.

Ways to help Afghans relocating to Louisville.

You can pray:

PRAY. As new arrivals are relocated here to Louisville, pray that they will be received with kindness. Pray that they will be encouraged and not fearful. Pray that Christians will connect, build relationships, and display the love of Jesus to them. Pray that efforts by churches will both meet needs and provide gospel opportunities.

You can give:

DONATE. October is World Hunger Fund month and much of the money for food distributed will be paid for from the KBC World Hunger Fund. You can give to the general fund or designate to Afghan Relief, Attn: John/Missions Mobilization Team.

DONATE. You can give directly to the Welcome Baskets mentioned above through this LRBA GivApp Link: https://givapp.co/LRBA-Afghan

You can also volunteer:

VOLUNTEER. If you would like to volunteer preparing baskets or food boxes with the WSBC team or if you would like to serve on a distribution day, Wednesdays 9a-12noon, please contact Bradley Willis, Community Ministries Minister, bwillis@walnutstreet.org. Opportunities might include guiding families through the pick up process, helping to load boxes in vehicles, possibly transportation and/or delivery.

VOLUNTEER. In partnership with Refuge International there are opportunities for small groups to serve as Co-journeying Teams that will be partnered with arriving families. You can find more information about this need at https://www.refugeintl.org.
