30 Days of Prayer Guide

9/21: Pray that God will continue to bless Christians with the right to openly practice our faith. “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1)

9/22: Pray for every believer to recognize his or her calling, to be a witness for Jesus in every place, near or far, every day. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)

9/23: Pray for men and women who used to walk with the Lord, but are now far from Him. Ask God to draw them back to Himself and transform them into bold Christian witnesses. “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?” (Matthew 18:12)

9/24: Pray for your pastor’s family, that God would strengthen and encourage each of them. “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23–24)

9/25: Pray for the specific issues facing your neighborhood and community. “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)

9/26: Pray that God will change the hearts of leaders and officials who are far from Him. “The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.” (Proverbs 21:1)

9/27: Pray for the Lord to strengthen the Bible believing churches in your area. “Speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” (Ephesians 4:15–16)

9/28: Pray for children, teenagers, and young people in your community and all across the U.S. to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ. Ask God to give you opportunities to share your faith with them. “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.’” (Matthew 19:14)

9/29: Pray for the men and women in law enforcement who protect us every day. Ask God to guard them from harm and bless their families who serve along with them. “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

9/30: Pray for the Holy Spirit to enable us to obey God’s calling with a joyful heart. “I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.” (Ezekiel 36:27)
